Aught Style

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this on here before, but way back in the late '90s, I decided that when the 2000s arrived, I would doggedly refer to the years in this first decade as the "aughts." As in "It was back in aught one that I moved to Toronto," or, "Remember the nuclear winter of aught eight? Good times, good times."

So, it gives me indescribable thrills of pleasure to hear the good folks on CBC Radio using the aughts with nary a hint of hesitation. Specifically, of course, in reference to the power outtage of aught three.

I think I've finally found a trend that I can completely get behind.
