Melancholy ambush

Wow.

I was just sitting here, reading and thinking and then WHOMP! A great big pillow of melancholy hit me in the face. I just felt suddenly sad, not for me, but for everyone else, for all those who aren't happy and that I can't help, or that I don't even know about.

These moods hit me every so often. They're important to me, but it always amazes me how suddenly, and with no apparent cause, they arrive.

I think I wanted to write something else, too. I'm going to take a minute to think.
